The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), in collaboration with the Physics Graduate Student Association (HMPF), organized a Welcoming and Introduction to Academic Interest Groups (Kelompok Bidang Keahlian/KBK) for new graduate students in Physics at UGM in 2026. The event was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Meeting Room 1, Department of Physics, FMIPA UGM.
The Islamic Fellowship Forum (Forsilam) UGM held the Forsilam Al-Qur’an Study Series with the theme “Al-Mulk Al-Qur’an #6” on Friday, July 31, 2026. The event took place in Meeting Room 1, Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA UGM), Building E, 2nd Floor.
The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), in collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP), organized the Short School on Quantum Physics: The Centennial Progress in Quantum Physics – From Fundamental Aspect to Application. The event was held over five days, from July 27–31, 2026, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta.
Master’s students from the Physics Study Program, Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), participated in The 14th Asian-Australasian Conference on Composite Materials (ACCM 2026), held from July 14–17, 2026, at the Sabah International Convention Centre, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), held another Physics Rebon Seminar featuring the topic “Introduction to Magnetic Confinement Fusion with AI Applications in Physics.” The seminar was held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Meeting Room 1 of the Department of Physics, FMIPA UGM.
The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), organized the Workshop and Outbound Program for Master’s and Doctoral Physics Students on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Held under the theme “Excellence in Research, Strength in Collaboration,” the activity took place at Karang Asri Outbound and was attended by students of the Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Physics Programs at FMIPA UGM.
Students from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), once again achieved remarkable success at the National Olympiad of Mathematics and Natural Sciences for Higher Education Institutions (ON-MIPA PT) 2026, held from June 8–11, 2026, at Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Surabaya.
A delegation from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), actively participated in The 4th International Conference on Magnetism and Its Applications (ICMIA) 2026, which was held on May 21–22, 2026, at Graha Cakrawala, Universitas Negeri Malang. Organized by the Indonesian Magnetic Society (InaMagSoc), this international conference served as an important platform for researchers, academics, and students to present their research findings and discuss the latest developments in magnetism, magnetic materials, and their various applications.
The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), once again organized the Rebon Physics Seminar on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The seminar was conducted in a hybrid format from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM WIB at Meeting Room 1, Department of Physics FMIPA UGM, and was also attended online via Zoom Meeting.
