This moment is one of the most awaited because it marks the completion of the undergraduate study period at the Department of Physics UGM.
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Basic Physics Laboratory received a visit from Da’ar El Salam High School Bogor. The purpose of this visit was to acquire academic information and introduce laboratory physics practical activities to the students. The delegation from Da’ar El Salam High School consisted of 40 individuals, including 30 students and 10 teachers.

This visit aims to build the aspirations and motivation of students to be enthusiastic about learning, as well as introducing students to what science is and fun science phenomena.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, Department of Physics UGM received a visit from MAN 1 Surakarta, the activity took place at the Basic Physics Laboratory on the 1st floor of the Physics Department building. This visit aims to increase students’ interest in science and learn more about the basics of physical measurements in physics. [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In order to welcome new master and doctoral students for the even 2023/2024 academic year, the Department of Physics in collaboration with the HMPF UGM held a welcome event and Introduction to the Groups of Expertise in UGM Physics. This event not only aims to welcome the presence of new students, but also to provide an introduction to the Groups of Expertise in UGM Physics to serve as a first step in understanding the flow of the academic journey that will be taken.

This activity began with a welcoming ceremony from the Faculty in the 7th Floor Auditorium Room of the UGM FMIPA lecture building, then continued with the presentation of study programs in the Department of Physics, Physics and Geophysics study programs.

Practical work and internship opportunities are open to undergraduate students and lecturers, as one of the efforts to support the Independent Campus program. Meanwhile, research internship opportunities are open to prospective master or doctoral students who are interested in continuing their studies in the field of materials.
