Wonogiri, June 21, 2024 – The Physics Department of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conducted a community service event at SMAN 1 Baturetno, Wonogiri, Central Java on June 20, 2024. This event aimed to introduce high school students to the field of physics and its applications, and was presented by lecturers from the Physics Department of UGM. It is hoped that after this event, high school students will develop an interest in natural sciences, especially physics, and be motivated to study it further. read more

Nuclear Exploration: Educational Visit of UGM Physics Students to Kartini Reactor

Rebon Seminar: Graphene Based Heterostructure for Spintronics Applications

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Rebon Seminar is one of the routine activities of the Department of Physics, as a place to discuss and exchange ideas about research, studies, and phenomena according to the Field of Study Groups in Physics UGM. On May 22, 2024, the Rebon Seminar carried a theme around theoretical and computational physics with the topic “First – principles study of electric field effects on graphene-based heterostructures for battery and spintronics applications” presented by Dian Putri Hastuti, Ph.D, as a Researcher at the Research Center for Emerging Computing Technologies (RCECT) National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba, Japan.
