[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Yogyakarta, June 12, 2024 – The Physics Study Program at UGM continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the quality of international education through collaboration with i-Shou University, Taiwan. Six undergraduate students from UGM’s Physics program have been accepted into the intensive “Post-Baccalaureate Two-Year Bachelor’s Degree Program” organized in partnership with i-Shou University. This program is designed to strengthen students’ competencies in the field of semiconductors, provide international learning experiences, and expand their academic and professional networks. Participants will undergo an intensive study period in Taiwan, utilizing the facilities and expertise available at i-Shou University, and will then have the opportunity to work for two years with partner companies in Taiwan.

This event aimed to introduce high school students to the field of physics and its applications, and was presented by lecturers from the Physics Department of UGM. It is hoped that after this event, high school students will develop an interest in natural sciences, especially physics, and be motivated to study it further.

Yogyakarta, June 28-29, 2024 – The Physics Department of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized a training event titled “Communication Skills Training for Service and Master of Ceremony” held at Hotel Melia Purosani. This training aimed to improve the communication skills of staff (educational staff) to provide optimal service and equip them with skills to become professional masters of ceremonies.

The event, held on Saturday, June 29, aims to introduce the products of research and innovation of FMIPA to industry practitioners and alumni to support the business sector.

This visit was conducted as part of a seminar for the Reactor Physics course and aimed to provide insights into the operation and workings of the Kartini Reactor.
