Four UGM Physics Students Participate in ICCMME 2026 International Conference in Tokyo, Japan

Yogyakarta — Four students from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), participated in the 11th International Conference on Composite Materials and Material Engineering (ICCMME 2026), held at the Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan, from January 28 to 30, 2026. UGM Master’s Students in Physics Participate in Pre-screening Internship Program at NAIST, Japan

The Materials Science Pre-screening Internship Program 2025, organized by the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), once again offered students from various countries the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in an international-standard laboratory environment. This year, two representatives from the Department of Physics, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM)—Larrisa Jestha Mahardhika and Husna Ajrina—successfully passed the selection process and participated in the onsite internship held in Nara, Japan, from 24 November to 6 December 2025. Larrisa has completed her master’s degree, while Husna is an active fourth-semester student in the Master’s Program in Physics. read more

UGM Master’s Physics Students Join Sakura Science Exchange Program at Mie University

Yogyakarta — Two students from the 2024 Odd Semester cohort of the Master’s Program in Physics, Department of Physics, FMIPA Universitas Gadjah Mada—Rafiqa Wulandani and Rafli Fandu Ramadhani—participated in the Sakura Science Exchange Program held at Mie University, Japan, from 2–4 December 2025.
This program is an international exchange initiative fully supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) to strengthen research capacity and global collaboration. read more
