UGM Master’s Students in Physics Participate in Pre-screening Internship Program at NAIST, Japan

The Materials Science Pre-screening Internship Program 2025, organized by the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), once again offered students from various countries the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in an international-standard laboratory environment. This year, two representatives from the Department of Physics, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM)—Larrisa Jestha Mahardhika and Husna Ajrina—successfully passed the selection process and participated in the onsite internship held in Nara, Japan, from 24 November to 6 December 2025. Larrisa has completed her master’s degree, while Husna is an active fourth-semester student in the Master’s Program in Physics. read more

UGM Physics Achieves Outstanding Results at ONMIPA 2025

Universitas Gadjah Mada once again demonstrated its position as one of the leading universities in Indonesia by achieving outstanding results in the 2025 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ONMIPA). In this prestigious competition, held on 16–20 November 2025 at Universitas Padjadjaran, UGM successfully claimed the title of Overall Champion of ONMIPA 2025, securing a total of 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 6 bronze medals, and 1 honorable mention. read more
