Universitas Gadjah Mada once again demonstrated its position as one of the leading universities in Indonesia by achieving outstanding results in the 2025 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ONMIPA). In this prestigious competition, held on 16–20 November 2025 at Universitas Padjadjaran, UGM successfully claimed the title of Overall Champion of ONMIPA 2025, securing a total of 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 6 bronze medals, and 1 honorable mention.
ONMIPA is a national-level science competition for university students across Indonesia, covering four major fields: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. This year, UGM sent 19 students as its contingent, 5 of whom represented the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UGM.
In the field of physics, UGM students once again delivered remarkable performances. Three students earned awards, while two others successfully advanced as national finalists. The complete list is as follows:

The contributions of these five students strengthened UGM’s achievement in securing the title of Overall Champion of ONMIPA 2025, further underscoring the quality of academic training and the competence of students within the Department of Physics, UGM.
