On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the Department of Physics UGM held a workshop for the preparation of the Strategic Plan Document (RENSTRA) at The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta. This event is a follow-up activity to the RENSTRA preparation workshop previously conducted on January 24, 2024. The RENSTRA for the Department of Physics is crafted by department mannagement, study program committee, KBK coordinators, laboratory heads, and assisted by Contract Daily Workers. In the earlier session, four teams were formed to discuss different topics: Education and Teaching, Research, Community Service, and Support Resources. In this current session, each internal team presented the crystallized results of their efforts on each topic for collective review and proceeded with the finalization of the RENSTRA.
“The hierarchy of RENSTRA preparation is top-down, unidirectional across all aspects, so the drafting process does not start from scratch but focuses on refining and adjusting the character of each unit,” stated Prof. Drs. Pekik Nurwantoro, M.S., Ph.D.
