AMI 2025 Visit at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada

The AMI 2025 visit at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM) was successfully conducted on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB, at Meeting Room I, 2nd Floor, Building E (Department of Physics Building), FMIPA UGM.

This audit covered all study programs within the Department of Physics—namely Undergraduate Program in Physics, Undergraduate Program in Geophysics, Master’s Program in Physics, and Doctoral Program in Physics—as part of the department’s continuous effort to ensure that the academic quality assurance system is implemented consistently, effectively, and efficiently.

The AMI visitation involved eight qualified internal auditors, as follows:

  1. Drs. Dwi Siswanta, M.Si., Ph.D.
  2. Prof. Dr.techn. Ahmad Ashari, M.I.Kom.
  3. Prof. Tri Joko Raharjo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.
  4. Drs. Janoe Hendarto, M.I.Kom.
  5. Wahyono, S.Kom., Ph.D.
  6. Prof. Dr. Abdurakhman, S.Si., M.Si.
  7. Dr.rer.nat. Ari Suparwanto, M.Si.
  8. Prof. Dr. Tri Kuntoro Priyambodo, M.Sc.

The Internal Quality Audit is part of the Department of Physics’ ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of education across all its study programs. The evaluation of quality standard compliance is conducted through the Self-Evaluation Report (Evaluasi Diri Program Studi/EDPS) and the Internal Quality Audit (AMI), which are carried out periodically on an annual basis.

The AMI process consists of several stages, including planning, audit execution, review or evaluation, and follow-up actions based on audit findings. Universitas Gadjah Mada emphasizes that systematic and continuous follow-up is key to the success of improving and enhancing learning processes and academic governance within the university.

The audit visit began with an opening session, followed by meetings with the Quality Assurance Implementing Unit (UPPS), administrative staff (Tendik), and lecturers. Subsequent sessions were held with study program representatives and the task force to confirm the contents of the Self-Evaluation Report (EDPS), as well as a session with students. The auditors then conducted independent review activities, and the event concluded with the presentation of audit results and the closing session.

The 2025 Internal Quality Audit (AMI) at the Department of Physics, FMIPA UGM is expected to serve as a meaningful moment of reflection and a foundation for continuous quality improvement across all study programs within the department.
